With Topographie agraire , Bertrand Dorny invites us to dive into a geography that is as much interior as it is peasant. The flat areas of bold colors—ochre, red, green, blue—respond to each other like fields seen from the sky, territories carved out by the hand of man and by the memory of the landscape.
This engraving breathes the rhythm of the seasons and the silent force of the earth. The chromatic masses, both abstract and familiar, become fragments of sensitive cartography. Between geometric rigor and colorful lyricism, Dorny composes a poetic space where matter transforms into memory, and color into vital breath.
